LeeCARES Participates in Touch a Truck in Georgetown, TX

LeeCARES members participated in Touch a Truck on June 1, 2019 from 0900 to 1300 at the Wolf Ranch Town Center in Georgetown, TX to support Williamson County ARES (WC-ARES). We demonstrated the capabilities of the WC-ARES communications trailer to the public and to other Emergency Response groups and displayed antennas and equipment. It was very timely after the presentation of Mark W5MAE at our May monthly meeting as you could see many antennas set up, grounding, other radios, etc. This event was part of WC-ARES ongoing Public Information Campaign about WC-ARES communication capabilities. Police, FBI, Fire. EMS, Military, Search and Rescue, Williamson County (WILCO) Emergency Communications and WILCO Office of Emergency Management and other groups participated as well.
