LeeCARES Monthly Meeting, July 19, 2026

The meeting focused on Lee Cares ARES/RACES team operations, equipment, and recent emergency communications experiences. The tech committee reported on Field Day results, trailer status, and the need for standardized code plugs and documentation. Members reviewed draft SOPs and the emergency communication plan, suggesting minor updates like adding radiogram handling and hurricane nets. They also discussed go kits, simplex VHF testing, net logging methods, and insurance coverage for the trailer and liability. The meeting closed after these updates and discussions.
