LeeCARES Monthly Meeting October 17, 2021

It was a gathering full of excitement for LeeCARES members who met at Elm Creek Cafe for their monthly meeting. The EmComm van so long wished for finally arrived and members had a chance to inspect it and make the first plans to maintain it and equip it. We also discussed about the ARES logo and catchphrase on the side. We discussed logistics of equipment at the Emergency Operation Center. The Outreach Committee reported that LeeCARES was invited to give a presentation to the New Horizons Lions Club in Giddings the following week. Suggestion was made to hold a Simplex exercise after a weekly net to test Lee County ARES station to station communication ability within LeeCares members.
