LeeCARES Monthly Meeting, June 19, 2021

LeeCARES met on Saturday June 19, after a very successful mobile to mobile exercise in Precinct 2, at Santa Fe Steakhouse in Giddings, TX. After a short meeting we discussed the priorities to fulfill the request of the County to equip the Lee County Office of Emergency Management (EOC) with backup radio communications.

We heard reports from the Technical Committee and the Outreach Committee with all the activities planned for the Grimes Festival in Giddings. We also had an update on the donated EmComm van and  discussed on the actions to take once we receive delivery, like insurance, paint, and equipment. We expand the strategy plan by adding a committee to find ways to fund LeeCARES.

We discussed on the upcoming visit to our 147.24 repeater and the changes that we need to make. Finally we had a white wash on the exercise, congratulating the Operation Section Chief and Net Control for conducting a great exercise.
