Lee County ARES members have been invited on November 18 to visit the Lee County Dispatch Center to get acquainted with the job of the dispatchers, the equipment they use, and how telecommunications work. LeeCARES members were able to appreciate the challenges of the brave women at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office who take emergency calls and how they inform first responders and provide aid to the those who call. We want to thank Dispatch Supervisor Cindy Heuermann and 911 Telecommunicator Darleen Voiles for taking their time to show us around and to share stories and actions during their valuable work.
