LeeCARES members met at Elm Creek Cafe at 1 pm. After the business meeting, the floor was given to Ken Malgren K7MAL, ARES District 7 Emergency Coordinator and single resource for the State Forest Agency with whom he deploys on a regular basis. Ken has shared his experience of working in public safety for decades and his experience as radio operator. He explained the vital role of radio operators during emergency he participated in, of radio hams contribution while living where disaster has struck, and briefed us about his adventures during deployments with state and federal agencies in type I and II incidents all over the United States and a few Tribal homelands. He also touched on stress and how to recognize it and cope with it. Thank You Ken Malgren for an engaging and inspirational presentation.
