Lee County ARES January 2022 Monthly Meeting

Lee County ARES kicked off the New Year with a great and productive meeting at Giddings Brewhaus. After welcoming a visitors and approving minutes and treasure report, we discussed out meeting the previous week with an IT specialist for Bastrop and Lee County Public Safety and his suggestions on where and how to mount the antennas, where to ground the system, and which antenna would be most effective for our goal to reach the State Operation Center, the Williamson County Emergency Service Operation Center and other counties. The Outreach and the Finance committees gave their report. We talked of the recent maintenance works on the van and the future maintenance of the mast happening the following week. We discussed about upcoming grants to better equip the EOC. It was announced the upcoming collaboration with Civil Air Patrol, and the upcoming National Disaster Operational Workgroup to which Lee Co ARES is invited to attend. We discussed Winlink training and planned and organized our Winter Field Day.
