Lee Co ARES February Monthly Meeting

Lee Co ARES met on February 17 and had one of the most productive meetings ever. We welcomed a new member. We are excited to have him being of pleasant personality and good character and coming with much experience both in radio and CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team).  We discuss improvements to the Emergency Operation Center with the new antenna tested during Winter Field Day and the trailer with solar back power among the rest, if we win the grant. We finalized the After Action Report for Winter Field Day. We also discussed to edit our bylaws to change the elections in February. We also discussed education opportunity to bring the trailer to a place such as the Public Library and have activity for kids and adult alike, like hands on electronics, how to build a simple transmitter or how to light up a bulb with a battery.
