Lee County met at the Chamber of Commerce in Giddings, TX. After the usual business, we discussed internet in the trailer, improvements in the trailer, and the good performance of the van after the latest repairs. We heard about the challenges and the progress to equip the EOC with cabinets and radio communications. We also discussed future involvement with “Night Out” with our Served Agencies throughout the County. We conducted the After Action Report (AAR) of our latest exercise Operation Fuel Re-Supply and planned training on how to recognize fuel tankers faster. Furthermore, we discussed positions in case of deployment in incidents like hurricane evacuations. We discussed about equipment to buy for the EOC and to improve the van and the trailer. We received the PDF of a great presentation of one of our members on data Mode Adapters and then we went outside where all members had a demonstration on how to use the trailer. We tested our new brand new generator. We were astonished on how silent it is and the features it has. The van was also there and we discussed the final improvements for it.
