LeeCARES Monthly Meeting, March 19, 2023

LeeCARES met on March 19 to discuss the EOC project giving the group the update on disconnected radios. The next step will be to climb the tower and take down their relative antennas. We chose TV antennas to buy as replacement should we damage those on the tower. We also discussed our upcoming workday on Wednesday to start working on the EmComm trailer to repair or change what did not work on Winter Field Day. We discussed the next step to get AREDN connected. The Lee Co EM compliments about the two January exercises were passed along to the group as well his request to let him have the PreparingTexas.org transcripts from each member. We also discussed the upcoming Lee Co CERT program that is still schedule to start at the end of the year. We also discussed to furnish the Lee Co EM with a radio to listen to our SKYWARN and regular nets. We discussed to bring the trailer to the Boy Scouts Jamboree-on-the-air next October in Bastrop as well as Merit Badges offered in Brenham.
