Lee County ARES Monthly Meeting, July 21, 2024

Lee County ARES met to discuss possible upgrades to the back-up solar power system and repeater in the trailer. Lee County ARES was gifted a UHF repeater and members considered the brand and possible use. They also presented the group with new radios and equipment that single members have bought to use for emergency communications. A member discussed his preparation for deployment to Houston after Hurricane Beryl per request of Harris Co ARES. We also discussed what our County and other counties did or did not do to prepare for the hurricane. Various committees gave their report. Finally, the EC notified the group of upcoming classes for FCC licensing and GRLevel 3 software coming up in the Fall.
