Lee Co ARES Monthly Meeting,August, 2005

Lee co ARES met on August to discuss the RF noise problems of the 147.24 repeaters and the change in tone to DTS 114. Noise in previous day was on 2 M band wide. We suspected new equipment installed near-by and we decided to start a fox hunt. We decided to buy His radios with interoperability capability. The EC announced a Simulated Emergency Test with other counties in District 7 in October. We also discussed to improve our nets by introducing radiograms  The recent class of Auxcomm was also discussed. ARESMATwas also discussed.
