Lee Co. ARES Monthly Meeting, November 16, 2025

Lee County ARES met at the Chamber of Commerce and members shared many updates. The EmComm Trailer has been updated with power supplies for the radios instead of batteries. Our Logs Chief bought and programmed the new HTs with just few channels to make them easy to use for those who need them during an event or an incident. We will start working on our GRMS repeaters project to connect with citizens, looking for funding three repeaters in Giddings, Lexington and Dime Box. We also discussed starting an outreach program by having demonstration in the Plaza by the Giddings BrewHouse and at the Library in 2026.

We had an update about the EOC, where we disconnected the antennas from the radios, and about the .24 repeater that is under testing. We received a demonstration on the Chameleon Antenna Lite. We have been notified of a drill coming up on December 3rd and on new training and Net format in 2026.

We finally chose a place to meet for our Christmas Party.
