Lee Co ARES Monthly Meeting, January 21, 2024

Lee County ARES members started the new year with a total different pace and objectives. It was decided to have trainings during regular monthly meetings to familiarize members with equipment at the EOC and the EmComm trailer. We also will schedules training to build a three day go-bag and radio go-kits. Standardization of radios for personal use and EOC and trailer was also discussed and it was proposed to sell the Kenwood 710 radios who are the least user friendly. We discussed changes on our FaceBook page and website. We received an update on the upcoming Winter Field Day, and preparation for it.. We will be with Williamson Co. ARES at Wilcox H Fox Park in Taylor testing equipment, honing skills, and operating without commercial power. Members showed their new equipment bought during the Christmas break.
